Senior Software Engineer

Description:

Synctera, a fast-growing FinTech company, is seeking a Sr. Software Engineer, Backend to join its Customer Identity, Risk, and Compliance team. The role focuses on building and enhancing services for transaction monitoring, fraud detection, anti-money laundering, KYC/KYB processes, suspicious activity reporting (SAR), and account verification.

As part of Synctera’s Banking as a Service platform, you will work with cutting-edge technology to help banks and FinTech companies create and scale embedded finance products such as bank accounts, debit cards, and lending solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop backend application services in Go (Golang).

• Build and improve RESTful APIs for internal and external use.

• Collaborate with product and cross-functional teams to design and implement solutions for financial services challenges.

• Lead coding initiatives, mentor junior engineers, and contribute to best practices.

• Participate in process improvements and introduce innovative approaches for problem-solving.

• Work with PostgreSQL, Redis, Pub/Sub, and Google Cloud-based infrastructure.

• Support deployment pipelines using tools such as Kubernetes, Cloud Run, Terraform, and Argo.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 4 years of professional experience as a Software Engineer.

• Proficiency in Go (Golang).

• Strong experience with PostgreSQL or similar relational databases.

• Expertise in creating and consuming RESTful APIs.

• Familiarity with Kubernetes, Cloud Run, and serverless/cloud-native infrastructure is an asset.

• Excellent problem-solving skills and a collaborative mindset.
