Description:
CrowdStrike is a global leader in cybersecurity, offering an advanced AI-native platform that protects organizations from security breaches. With a mission to stop breaches, CrowdStrike is seeking a Senior Software Development Engineer (SDE) to join their engineering team, which is responsible for developing the Falcon Host security product.
The SDE will focus on the development of the sensor (lightweight agent) for the Falcon Host platform on Windows, working on core features that involve file system, memory, process, and networking subsystems. The role requires deep collaboration with cross-functional teams to build scalable, high-performance security software. The ideal candidate will have experience in C++ and Windows OS kernel and driver development, with the ability to work in an Agile development environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and improve next-generation Anti-Virus and Enhanced Detection and Response security software.
Design, develop, and deliver features across Windows, Mac, and Linux platforms.
Collaborate with multi-functional teams to ensure features meet customer needs and are delivered on time.
Lead and mentor team members, while maintaining strong communication and collaboration in a distributed team.
What You’ll Need:
In-depth knowledge of C++ and Windows OS Kernel and Driver Development.
Strong experience with low-level OS internals, memory corruption debugging, process contention, and system performance.
Proven track record of shipping major features and releases.
Ability to lead, mentor, and communicate effectively with distributed teams.
Bonus Points:
Background in building scalable, lightweight, high-performance systems.
Expertise in OS system concepts and subsystems.
Familiarity with Agile processes and security knowledge.
Compensation and Benefits:
Base salary range: $150,000—$225,000 CAD (Canada) / $135,000—$215,000 USD (USA) annually.
