LRO Staffing, on behalf of a prominent Kanata-based software company specializing in AI-enabled digital intelligence solutions, is seeking a highly skilled Senior Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) to join their dynamic and innovative team. As a Senior Site Reliability Engineer, you will be responsible for the design, implementation, and maintenance of observability infrastructure to optimize system health, performance, and scalability. Reporting directly to the Software Development Manager, you will collaborate with a team of talented Software Engineers and Kubernetes Platform Engineers working on a mission-critical, AI-driven digital intelligence platform.

The ideal candidate is a technically strong engineer with deep knowledge of modern DevOps practices, a proactive problem-solving mindset, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. Attitude and aptitude are valued as highly as technical expertise.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, implement, and maintain observability infrastructure to ensure optimal system health, performance, and scalability.

  • Collaborate with Software and Platform Engineers to enhance reliability, efficiency, and automation across the development lifecycle.

  • Develop and optimize CI/CD pipelines to streamline deployment and integration processes.

  • Manage Kubernetes and Docker-based infrastructure for scalable and resilient operations.

  • Implement best practices in microservices architecture and containerization.

  • Monitor systems using tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack, and Loki to identify and resolve performance bottlenecks.

  • Work with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform, Ansible, Helm, Puppet, and Chef to automate and manage infrastructure efficiently.

  • Contribute to architecture decisions, ensuring security, observability, and operational excellence.

  • Support ongoing system monitoring, logging, and alerting processes for early issue detection and mitigation.


Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor’s or higher degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Mathematics, or a related discipline.

  • 7+ years of hands-on experience in software engineering (C# or Java preferred) combined with extensive SRE and CI/CD infrastructure experience.

  • Expertise in Kubernetes, Docker, and modern microservices architecture.

  • Strong knowledge of observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack, Loki, and Rancher.

  • Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code tools (Helm, Terraform, Ansible, Chef, Puppet).

  • Excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills, with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.

  • Strong problem-solving and analytical mindset with a passion for reliability and automation.

  • Eligible to obtain Canadian Top-Secret Security Clearance.

  • Must be legally eligible to work in Canada.
