Senior Sap Sd Consultant

 

Description:

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior SAP SD Consultant with deep expertise across all core SAP Sales & Distribution functionalities. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in end-to-end SAP SD configuration, integration with cross-functional SAP modules, data migration activities, and 3PL (Third-Party Logistics) integration. This role requires strong analytical skills, solution design capabilities, and the ability to work with business stakeholders to deliver scalable, high-quality solutions.

 

Key Responsibilities

· Lead Org structure redesign: sales org ↔ company code linking, sales areas, shipping points, and plant reassignment.

· Harmonize SD processes across entities: sales docs, deliveries, billing, credit, partner determination, ATP, output forms, tax, pricing.

· Drive pricing & tax alignment across merged entities.

· Lead customer master, credit master, and partner function harmonization and data cleanup.

· Define strategy for open orders, deliveries, billing documents.

· Co-own SD data migration: customers, prices, credit, output conditions.

· Validate integration with MM/PP/FI/WM/EWM after plant reassignment.

· Drive SD-specific cutover plans, transport sequencing, and mock runs.

· Configure & support end-to-end OTC cycle.

· Strong expertise in pricing, billing, ATP, shipping, credit management, returns.

· Intercompany, third-party, consignment, and subcontracting integration (SD-MM).

· Prepare functional specs for RICEFs, work with ABAP teams, perform UT/SIT/UAT.

· Support hyper care & stabilization post go-live.

· Conduct workshops, requirement gathering, and process mapping with business users.

· Hands-on experience with IDoc configuration, partner profile setup (WE20), port definitions (WE21), IDoc monitoring (WE02/WE05), reprocessing (BD87), and error fixing.

· Work with middleware teams to troubleshoot mapping and interface failures.

· Define interface functional specs, mapping documents, and test end-to-end flows.

· Experience integrating SAP with 3PL system

· Work with 3PL providers for interface testing, connectivity checks, SLA monitoring, and error resolution.

· Excellent communication and client-facing skills.

 

 

Required Skills

· 8 - 12 years SAP SD configuration experience.

· Strong knowledge of:

· Pricing (condition types, routines, access sequences)

· Output management (SAPScript/SmartForms/Adobe)

· IDocs, EDI, RFCs, and BAPIs

· Delivery scheduling, route determination

· Credit/Returns/Claims processes

· Third-party, Consignment, and Intercompany scenarios

· Experience in designing custom enhancements, user exits, BADIs, and BDCs (functional understanding).

· Data Migration and 3PL Integration experience.

· Excellent problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
