Senior Qa Tester

Description:

Wirehead is hiring a Senior QA Tester for a government client in Toronto. This is a 12-month contract role with hybrid work options starting in 2-3 weeks. The role demands extensive experience in manual and automated testing, compliance, and performance testing within enterprise environments.

Key Responsibilities & Requirements:

• Minimum 10 years experience in software testing large-scale enterprise IT systems.

• Hands-on manual testing and automated testing using frameworks and tools.

• Development and planning of automated test scripts and strategies.

• Deep knowledge of Agile, Scrum, and Waterfall methodologies.

• Extensive experience with AODA (Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act) compliance testing.

• Test automation tools experience: Selenium, Postman (API testing).

• Performance testing experience: JMeter, LoadRunner, or equivalent.

• Defect tracking tools experience: JIRA, Azure DevOps, or similar.

• Proven expertise in end-to-end testing ensuring full functional and non-functional requirements coverage.

• QA compliance and security testing knowledge.

• Strong database knowledge: SQL, Oracle.

• Cloud technology familiarity: Azure, AWS.

• CI/CD pipeline experience with Jenkins, Git, GitLab or similar.

• Strong communication, teamwork, problem-solving, and adaptability skills.

• Ability to handle aggressive timelines and work well under pressure.

Preferred Skills:

• Selenium + Postman + JMeter + LoadRunner + SQL/Oracle + Azure/AWS + Git + Jira
