Reporting directly to the Director, People & Culture Operations & Total Rewards, this position offers the opportunity to merge cutting-edge technology with human-centric strategy to redefine how HR data and systems drive organizational performance.

Key Responsibilities

Technology & Automation Leadership

  • Guide the design, development, and rollout of intelligent workflows utilizing GenAI, automation, and self-service tools to optimize HR processes.

  • Serve as the subject matter expert for the company’s core HRIS (bob), managing integrations, enhancements, and ensuring peak operational performance.

  • Build scalable, automated solutions that simplify complex People & Culture workflows and reduce manual effort.

  • Prototype and deploy solutions using automation frameworks such as Zapier, LLM APIs, or similar tools.

Data Management & Insights

  • Drive data integrity, audit processes, and implement mitigation strategies for data inconsistencies or redundancies.

  • Monitor and analyze HR data, operational metrics, and employee feedback to identify trends and support data-driven decision-making.

  • Develop and maintain People & Culture analytics dashboards and deliver clear, actionable insights to senior leadership.

  • Evolve legacy HR systems into predictive, insight-rich architectures leveraging modern data tools.

Strategy & Collaboration

  • Act as a strategic advisor to the People & Culture team, translating business vision into measurable technology solutions.

  • Collaborate cross-functionally with IT, Finance, and department heads to ensure alignment of data and technology initiatives.

  • Champion AI and automation literacy across the organization, helping colleagues adopt digital-first approaches.

  • Promote compliance, data security, and responsible AI practices in all HR technology initiatives.


Qualifications & Skills

  • Extensive experience in HR technology, HRIS management, and process automation.

  • Proficiency in bob HRIS (preferred) or similar enterprise HR systems.

  • Strong analytical and data visualization skills to interpret and communicate trends effectively.

  • Proven ability to design and implement automation and AI-based workflows.

  • Excellent understanding of HR operations, policies, and compliance requirements.

  • Strong communication, collaboration, and change management capabilities.

  • Deep commitment to data governance, privacy, and ethical AI usage.

  • Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, evolving environment with shifting priorities.


Work Environment

Axonify embraces a hybrid-flexible model, allowing employees to choose between working from home or one of its offices in Waterloo or Toronto.
