Senior Pension Analyst

 

Description:

CAAT Pension Plan is looking for a Senior Pension Analyst, Employer Services to join its growing, purpose-driven team. This is a hybrid role based in Toronto and provides a unique opportunity to work at the frontline of pension administration. The Senior Pension Analyst will provide technical support to employers, facilitate data accuracy, manage contribution reconciliations, and act as a key resource for complex or escalated issues. This position plays a vital role in supporting employer administrators, leading training sessions, and ensuring the CAAT Pension Plan delivers exceptional service to its members and employers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Administer employer-related pension data activities, ensuring compliance with established standards and timelines.

  • Perform and oversee data management, member statement preparation, and contribution reconciliation processes.

  • Handle monthly data exchanges with employers and manage follow-up communications.

  • Provide ongoing technical support to employer administrators and assist in resolving day-to-day pension administration issues.

  • Conduct monthly status meetings with assigned employers to track and resolve service delivery concerns.

  • Mentor and support junior Pension Analysts, especially in handling complex cases and escalated queries.

  • Collaborate with internal departments, including Policy and Senior Management, to address significant issues.

  • Deliver training sessions for employer representatives, both individually and in group settings.

  • Participate in on-site visits and member presentations, representing the Employer Services team.

Required Qualifications:

  • A College Diploma or University Degree in a relevant field.

  • Professional designation such as CEBS, PPAC, or CBP.

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in MEPP or public sector pension administration, or within a pension outsourcing provider.

  • Excellent analytical and mathematical skills.

  • Strong problem-solving, time management, and communication skills.

  • High proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including advanced data analysis techniques.

  • Fluency in French is considered an asset.
