Senior Payroll Specialist

Description:

LRO Staffing is seeking a Senior Payroll Specialist to join a high-volume, growing organization in Mississauga. The role focuses on ensuring accurate and timely semi-monthly payroll processing while maintaining operational standards and adhering to department policies. The successful candidate will also manage benefits and pension plans, process WSIB, EHT, and CRA remittances, reconcile payroll accounts, handle employee payroll record changes, process terminations/ROEs and T4s, and participate in payroll budgeting.

This role requires staying up-to-date with payroll best practices and legislative changes, conducting other payroll and finance duties as required, and providing guidance to senior management. The position offers the opportunity to work in a collaborative environment within an expanding organization, contributing to a high-performing payroll team.

Requirements:

• Payroll Compliance Practitioner (PCP) designation active in good standing is a strong asset

• Minimum 3 years of payroll experience in a similar role

• Experience with national payroll is an advantage

• Strong technical skills and ability to learn new software

• Attention to detail, organizational skills, problem-solving skills, and ability to prioritize

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Understanding and application of strict confidentiality
