Senior Network Support Specialist

JOB DESCRIPTION:

The Consultant will be responsible for providing the following Services to the Bank:

Under the direction of Assistant Director, Network and Network Security Services:

• Play a key role in the operational team, with focus on evergreening and operational support

• Resolve complex cross functional technical issues in a timely manner

• Participate in the planning and execution of testing related to production deployment validation, performance, failover and vulnerabilities remediation, and disaster recovery

• Analyze the current solutions environment to identify deficiencies and opportunities for simplification as part of continuous improvements and evergreening activities

• Define and implement required upgrades and changes to address operational problems or new business requirements as well as support problem troubleshooting in Prod and non-prod environments

• Other related activities and deliverables as required

 

Required Qualifications & Skills:

The Consultant should have the following qualifications and skills:

• University degree or college diploma in computer science, information technology, engineering, or a related field.

• Minimum of five (5) years of recent demonstrated experience in testing and/or operations and/or development and/or integration in network management environments

• Minimum of five (5) years of recent demonstrated experience with network equipment, specifically with Cisco switching and routing platforms (Cisco Nexus 9K, 9300s, 6508 and APIC)

• Demonstrated experience in working with Azure Cloud Networking

• Demonstrated knowledge and experience in IT Operations work, including the operational capabilities and typical challenges of IT Operations

• Demonstrated ability to support the full development lifecycle, including participation in continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) processes, from concept through implementation

• Demonstrated experience with scalable and highly available service-oriented architectures

• Demonstrated experience in working with Agile methodology
