Senior Mobile Engineer

Description:

ClickUp is seeking a Senior Mobile Engineer to lead the development and enhancement of its mobile and tablet experience. This role involves building high-performance, user-focused features using Flutter, Riverpod, and native iOS & Android development. The engineer will own end-to-end development, from conception to production, collaborating closely with cross-functional teams including QA, design, and product to deliver world-class solutions.

The Senior Mobile Engineer will focus on creating reliable, scalable, and performant systems, contributing to technical design, architecture, and continuous improvement of existing systems. The role also emphasizes culture-building, mentorship, and active participation in shaping the ClickUp mobile experience.

Key Responsibilities:

• Build high-quality, performant mobile features with attention to detail.

• Own end-to-end development from design to production.

• Engineer solutions and internal tools to understand and address technical challenges.

• Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to deliver cohesive user experiences.

• Identify and implement improvements to existing systems.

• Contribute to building a world-class, collaborative engineering culture.

• Ensure mobile platforms (iOS & Android) meet performance, reliability, and user-focused standards.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent.

• 3+ years of professional mobile development experience with Flutter.

• 2+ years of experience in system design or architecture (design patterns, reliability, scaling).

• 4+ years of mobile development experience on Android & iOS platforms.

• Experience collaborating across teams to deliver user-focused solutions.

• Strong communication skills for conveying complex technical ideas.

• Ability to thrive in remote work environments with proactive self-management.

• Demonstrated professionalism, empathy, and supportive teamwork.

Preferred Characteristics:

• Familiarity with Riverpod.

• Experience in early-stage product development or startup environments.

• Android development expertise.

• Experience iterating and shipping products based on user feedback.

• Active ClickUp user and passionate about productivity improvements.

Additional Requirements:

• Remote role; timezone ideally EST or PST (EU/UK applicants must overlap ~4 hours with US time zones).
