The Senior Marketing Specialist, Life Insurance & Annuities will report to the AVP of Product and Distribution Marketing and will play a key role in supporting marketing initiatives that drive engagement and sales for the company’s annuity business in the U.S. The ideal candidate will bring strong communication, project management, and creative execution skills to bring Foresters’ life and annuity products to life through impactful campaigns and content.
Campaign Development
Plan, design, and implement integrated marketing campaigns supporting new product launches and ongoing sales goals.
Create campaign briefs, creative outlines, and strategy documents to align cross-functional teams.
Collaborate with product, sales, and compliance teams to ensure campaign messaging is accurate, relevant, and compliant.
Content Creation
Develop and execute engaging content strategies to boost awareness, engagement, and conversions.
Write, edit, and adapt content for various formats including email, digital, print, web, video, and social media.
Translate complex financial and annuity concepts into clear, digestible language for B2B audiences.
Ensure all communications adhere to Foresters’ brand voice and guidelines.
Project Management
Oversee multiple projects simultaneously, managing deadlines, deliverables, and stakeholder coordination.
Serve as the central point of contact between creative, sales, compliance, and external vendors.
Adapt to shifting timelines and priorities while maintaining attention to detail.
Performance Monitoring
Track and evaluate marketing performance using digital metrics and campaign analytics.
Partner with the Business Intelligence team to derive insights, optimize campaigns, and refine future strategies.
Collaboration and Relationship Building
Build and maintain strong working relationships with cross-functional teams, including sales, compliance, and product marketing.
Support the development and promotion of sales tools and training materials for distribution partners.
Serve as a trusted point of contact for all campaign execution and follow-up.
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Finance, Economics, or a related discipline (Master’s degree or certifications like CFP are a plus).
Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in financial services marketing, particularly in life insurance and annuities.
Excellent B2B writing and editing skills with the ability to simplify complex financial topics.
Strong project management abilities with proven success handling multiple priorities.
Experience in a regulated financial environment working closely with legal and compliance teams.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Working knowledge of:
Marketing automation tools (Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Mailchimp, etc.)
Content management systems (Sitecore, Adobe Experience Manager)
Analytics tools (Google Analytics, Power BI, Looker)
Project management tools (Asana, Monday.com, Trello)
Familiarity with A/B testing, conversion optimization, and UTM tagging.
Location: Canada or U.S. (preferred locations include Toronto, Bloomington, Chicago, New York, or Boston).
Work Hours: 37.5 hours per week (Canada) / 40 hours per week (U.S.)
Work Type: Hybrid (minimum 2 days in office per week) or Remote, depending on location.
