Description:

Deloitte Canada is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Manager, Rewards, Equity & Incentives Tax Advisory to join its Global Employer Services (GES) team. This role is designed for a senior-level tax leader who excels in advising on employee rewards, incentive arrangements, and executive remuneration strategies for both private and public organizations.

In this position, you will be responsible for advising clients on tax and social security requirements, developing remuneration strategies, structuring incentive programs, and supporting M&A transactions with post-closing plan design. You will also provide guidance on equity, bonus, pension, and related planning opportunities. Beyond advisory services, you will leverage technology to optimize compliance processes, streamline operations, and create cost efficiencies for clients.

You will lead teams, mentor professionals, and build strong client relationships while contributing to Deloitte’s mission of making an impact that matters. Deloitte’s GES practice supports multinational and domestic organizations across a wide variety of industries, including financial services, consumer business, technology, aerospace, engineering, and mining.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Advise clients on the design and operation of incentive arrangements and executive remuneration strategies.

  • Provide tax and social security advisory services and compliance guidance.

  • Conduct technical calculations ensuring compliance with applicable legislation.

  • Support clients in M&A remuneration planning, structuring, and post-closing incentive plan development.

  • Identify tax planning opportunities in equity, pension, and compensation programs.

  • Utilize technology-driven solutions to improve efficiency and ensure compliance.

  • Lead and mentor professional teams, while contributing to client-facing engagements.

Requirements:

  • Undergraduate degree with strong academic background.

  • Master’s degree in Tax or an accounting designation (CPA, CA, or equivalent).

  • At least 7 years of relevant experience in tax advisory and compensation planning.

  • Experience with compensation and equity program design is an asset.

  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills with proven client service excellence.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication; bilingualism in French and English is required due to the nature of client interactions.

  • Ability to conceptualize new solutions and present innovative ideas.

  • Proven analytical and problem-solving capabilities.

  • Flexibility for Canadian and occasional international travel.

  • Availability to work overtime during peak periods.
