Description:

Manulife is seeking an experienced and strategic Senior Manager, Digital Governance to play a key role in developing and implementing governance frameworks for its Digital Storefront project. This role is ideal for a candidate with deep knowledge of governance, compliance, and digital transformation who can work across diverse regions and regulatory environments while ensuring alignment, consistency, and innovation across Manulife’s global digital platforms.

The successful candidate will lead governance initiatives, establish standards, drive adoption, and ensure compliance while enabling digital transformation. This individual will collaborate closely with product, engineering, and design teams, as well as global stakeholders, to ensure governance structures deliver measurable business value.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development and rollout of governance structures for initiatives including Domain Rationalization, Common Capabilities, and the Global Common Design System.

  • Draft, maintain, and promote governance standards, procedures, and best practices.

  • Partner with product owners and business leaders to align governance frameworks with strategic objectives.

  • Create and deliver training materials to increase awareness and adoption of governance practices.

  • Evaluate governance effectiveness, identify gaps, and implement improvements.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional and global teams to support digital transformation goals.

Required Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in digital governance, policy/standards creation, or compliance.

  • Hands-on experience working across global digital environments (e.g., North America, Asia).

  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to influence and drive change.

  • Excellent communication and documentation skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience supporting governance in digital transformation projects.

  • Familiarity with domain management and digital design systems.

  • Strong background in outcome-driven planning and agile methodologies.

  • Passion for digital transformation and customer-centric design.

  • Experience engaging executives and cross-functional teams.

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Annual salary between CAD 86,250 – CAD 155,250 (monthly CAD 7,187 – CAD 12,937).
