Description:
Deloitte Canada is seeking a Senior Manager in Rewards, Equity & Incentives Tax Advisory to join its Global Employer Services (GES) practice, contributing to a national network of professionals who deliver high-impact employee compensation, taxation, and equity incentive consulting services. This is a hybrid role based out of Burlington, ON, with options across multiple cities including Toronto, Montreal, Vancouver, Calgary, and more.
Key Responsibilities:
Advise corporate clients (both public and private) on the design and implementation of equity, incentive compensation, and executive reward structures.
Deliver insights and technical guidance on tax and social security implications, compliance requirements, and remuneration strategies.
Support M&A transactions by structuring pre- and post-closing compensation frameworks.
Lead client engagements by analyzing and interpreting compensation data, legislation, and cross-border tax scenarios.
Present customized planning solutions to clients while mentoring internal teams.
Guide clients in leveraging technology for compliance, efficiency, and risk management in employee reward programs.
Contribute thought leadership in equity planning, tax-effective incentives, and regulatory adherence across Canadian and international frameworks.
Team Environment:
Work within Deloitte’s Global Employer Services, a multidisciplinary group supporting clients on global and domestic workforce matters including income tax compliance, relocation, cross-border payroll, compensation, and social security obligations.
Collaborate across offices nationally with experts from industries such as financial services, tech, aerospace, mining, and engineering.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
Undergraduate degree with strong academic performance.
Master’s in Tax or CPA/Accounting designation.
At least 7 years of relevant experience in tax advisory or compensation planning.
Knowledge of equity program design is highly valued.
Client-oriented, proactive, and solutions-driven professional.
Strong communication, leadership, and analytical thinking skills.
Bilingual (English and French) preferred due to national/global interaction.
Willingness to travel within Canada; occasional international travel.
Adaptable work schedule during peak times of the year.
Compensation & Benefits:
Competitive base salary: CAD 116,000 – 215,000 annually.
