Deloitte, one of the world’s leading professional services firms, is seeking a Manager / Senior Manager – Property Tax to join its national Property Tax Consulting team. This role offers the opportunity to collaborate with high-profile clients across various industries, providing end-to-end property tax solutions and appeals. Candidates will play an important leadership role within the growing practice, working with both Canadian and US Deloitte teams and collaborating with other service lines such as tax, audit, financial advisory, and consulting.

The position is ideal for an experienced professional who combines technical property tax expertise with strong leadership, relationship management, and entrepreneurial skills. The role provides exposure to diverse engagements and clients across Canada while contributing to the continued growth of Deloitte’s property tax service line.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage client engagements in property tax assessment, appeals, and advisory services.

  • Deliver end-to-end property tax solutions across multiple industries.

  • Collaborate with teams across Deloitte Canada and the US to provide integrated client solutions.

  • Develop and maintain strong client relationships as a trusted advisor.

  • Contribute to business development initiatives, operational efficiency, and team leadership.

  • Mentor and guide junior staff while playing a strategic role in growing the property tax practice.

  • Ensure high standards of client service delivery and adherence to timelines.

Candidate Profile:

  • College or university degree, or 7+ years of property tax consulting experience.

  • Minimum of 5+ years of relevant work experience in property tax consulting.

  • Preference for Accredited or Candidate Members of the Appraisal Institute of Canada or the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors (RICS).

  • Proven ability to deliver services related to the full lifecycle of property assessment consulting and appeal services.

  • Strong communication skills (verbal and written).

  • Client-focused, with demonstrated relationship management skills.

  • Entrepreneurial spirit with ability to drive new business.

  • Bilingualism (French and English) required due to national and global client interactions.

  • Self-motivated, deadline-driven, adaptable, and effective in team and independent settings.

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Competitive salary range: $84,000 – $140,000 per year ($7,000 – $11,666 per month).
