Description:
Empire Life is seeking a Business Quality Analyst III to join the Group Initiatives team. In this role, you will support business architecture, contribute to feasibility studies and business cases, analyze requirements, identify gaps, perform occasional manual testing, and ensure quality application design and enhancements. You will help implement business requirements that support the Company’s strategic objectives while working closely with stakeholders in an agile or hybrid environment.
Contribute to business architecture, feasibility studies, cost/benefit analysis, business cases, and risk assessments
Support planning decisions and monitor requirement changes
Report on the status of business analysis progress relative to project plans
Document business requirements using appropriate modelling techniques
Perform gap analysis and communicate capability gaps
Contribute to Business Requirements Documents
Provide business and systems expertise to improve application quality
Implement business requirements and process change initiatives
Perform manual testing as needed
5+ years as a Business Analyst or Quality Assurance Specialist
3+ years in insurance/financial services
Experience in Group Benefits (asset)
Post-secondary education or equivalent experience
Strong requirements elicitation and analysis skills
Proficiency in digital portals, customer experience (CX), and user experience (UX) analysis
Experience with Agile and hybrid project methodologies
Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills
Systems thinking and strong technology acumen
Logical thinking, problem-solving, and report-writing skills
Working towards CBAP or IIBA designation (asset)
Training in facilitation, modelling techniques, or stakeholder management (asset)
English language proficiency required (unless otherwise indicated)
Strategic thinker with strong business value awareness
Excellent communicator and relationship builder
Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving abilities
Detail-oriented and organized
Able to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams
Comfortable with both Agile and hybrid environments
Customer-centred and quality-focused approach
Must reside in Canada
