Senior Law Clerk

Description:

Mercor connects elite creative and technical talent with leading AI research labs. The Senior Law Clerk will design experiments, build and evaluate machine learning models, preprocess large datasets, and collaborate with engineering teams to deploy production-ready solutions. This is a remote independent contractor role requiring strong technical expertise and the ability to work asynchronously.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design experiments and collect data for machine learning model development

• Preprocess, analyze, and evaluate large datasets using Python and Jupyter Notebooks

• Collaborate with engineering teams to build and deploy production-ready ML solutions

• Review and validate prompt-based questions for training AI systems

• Work independently and asynchronously to meet deadlines and improve model performance

Qualifications:
Must-Have:

• 3+ years of experience in data science or applied analytics

• Advanced skills in Python and Jupyter Notebooks

• Experience with numpy, pandas, scipy, sympy, scikit-learn, torch, tensorflow

• Bachelor’s degree in data science, statistics, computer science, or related field

• Strong understanding of ML workflows, data analysis, and model evaluation

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Additional Requirements:

• 20–40 hours/week availability

• Minimum 1-month contract duration
