Senior It & Systems Manager

Description:

About the Senior Manager, IT & Systems Role

The Senior Manager, IT & Systems owns and evolves Venture for Canada’s internal technology ecosystem, including SaaS systems, workflow automation, AI tooling, and cybersecurity. This is a high-ownership role for a technical operator who combines systems thinking, hands-on execution, and strong project management. You will design and build systems, lead organization-wide tool rollouts, and ensure technology is secure, reliable, and widely adopted across the team. You will also manage VFC’s IT Help Desk & CRM Coordinator, overseeing day-to-day support, while building a scalable support function that enables continuous improvement.

Key Role Responsibilities

  • Own and evolve VFC's systems strategy, tech stack, and vendor relationships
  • Define system architecture, standards, and documentation while proactively identifying gaps and risks
  • Build and maintain automations, integrations, and AI tooling to streamline data flow and reduce manual processes
  • Lead end-to-end project management and delivery of systems initiatives, including stakeholder alignment, training, and change management
  • Own cybersecurity across systems, including access controls, data protection, vendor risk, and incident response
  • Oversee system administration, reliability, and support — resolving recurring issues at the root
  • Manage and develop the IT Help Desk & CRM Coordinator, balancing reactive support with proactive improvement
  • Partner with the data team to support reporting and data quality

Who You Are

  • A strategic thinker who's equally comfortable getting hands-on
  • Equally strong at day-to-day reliability and longer-term systems improvement
  • A clear, collaborative communicator who works effectively across teams and functions
  • Highly organized with strong ownership and follow-through

What You'll Bring

  • Proven experience leading system implementations or tool rollouts, including stakeholder alignment, training, and adoption
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple concurrent initiatives
  • Experience owning and improving SaaS ecosystems, including data flow and integration architecture
  • Hands-on experience building automations and integrations via APIs, Zapier, and/or scripting
  • Experience managing HubSpot and data systems, including data quality practices
  • Solid understanding of cybersecurity, including access management, data protection, and vendor risk
  • Experience supporting and onboarding non-technical users on complex platforms
  • Familiarity with AI tools and a track record, or strong interest, in applying them operationally
  • Familiarity with tools such as Google Workspace, Slack, Zoom, Canva, learning management systems, survey tools, or other learning/content platforms
  • Bilingualism in French and English is an asset
  • Legal authorization to work in Canada
