Description:

TekRek, in collaboration with a venture-backed consumer mobile platform, is seeking a highly skilled Senior iOS Mobile Engineer (iOS Native) to join their team in Montreal, QC. This contract role offers a unique opportunity to shape and deliver a major mobile redesign project for a cutting-edge consumer-facing platform. The engineer will work in a hybrid environment alongside product managers, designers, and backend engineers to build seamless, high-performance user experiences using Swift, SwiftUI, and Combine.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain advanced applications for the iOS platform using Swift.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and implement innovative new features.

• Ensure application performance, quality, and responsiveness through robust engineering practices.

• Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve bugs and performance bottlenecks.

• Maintain high code quality by conducting code reviews, unit testing, and following CI/CD best practices.

• Stay current with Apple’s evolving iOS ecosystem, frameworks, and user interface design guidelines.

Requirements:

• 5+ years of proven experience developing iOS applications.

• Strong proficiency in Swift and iOS SDKs, including SwiftUI, Core Data, and Combine.

• Experience integrating RESTful APIs and third-party libraries (e.g., Alamofire, Firebase).

• Solid understanding of mobile app architecture patterns such as MVC, MVVM, and VIPER.

• Familiarity with version control (Git), CI/CD pipelines, and automated testing tools.

• Strong problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and a commitment to clean, maintainable code.

• Previous experience publishing at least one app to the App Store (preferred).
