Senior Instructional Designer

Description:

Geotab, a global leader in IoT and connected transportation technologies, is looking for a Senior Instructional Designer to develop cutting-edge learning experiences across its internal and external audiences. As part of a diverse and collaborative team, you will lead large-scale instructional design projects that support onboarding, product knowledge, partner enablement, and employee development.

In this high-impact role, you will analyze learner needs, apply best practices in adult education, develop multimedia and interactive content, and collaborate with stakeholders across business units. The ideal candidate is a creative self-starter with strong technical aptitude, design thinking skills, and a passion for modern learning technologies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead large instructional design initiatives and manage learning projects end-to-end

• Analyze learner needs, define objectives, and shape curriculum paths

• Develop engaging instructional content: e-learning modules, videos, simulations, branching scenarios, and gamified learning

• Ensure accessibility standards compliance and inclusivity in all training assets

• Integrate SCORM-compliant materials with LMS platforms and ensure mobile compatibility

• Apply tools like Adobe CC, Canva, Figma, Vyond, and prototype journeys in Adobe XD

• Mentor junior instructional designers and foster innovation within the team

• Use AI and automation tools (e.g., Synthesia, AI voiceovers, Unity, etc.) to create immersive experiences

• Collaborate with internal teams (Legal, Supply Chain, etc.) and external vendors to deliver scalable learning solutions

• Contribute to strategic decisions around the design and delivery of learning programs

• Support external-facing initiatives through Geotab Academy and other partner platforms
