Description:
The ICT Senior Sales Executive is accountable for increasing company revenue by being the Trusted Advisor to current and new customers by positioning Epic’s products and services with a specific focus on driving new Managed Services.
In this role, you will utilize consulting skills, strategic account planning, strong selling skills, acquire leads though cold and warm calling, and bring the sales cycle to a successful close. You will also collaborate with sales channels to raise awareness of company products, to increase market share, and meet sales targets. It is imperative in this role that you utilize excellent business acumen, communication skills, and establish ongoing rapport with current and new customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a sales strategy to generate new Managed Services clients
- Identify and develop new business opportunities through prospecting, networking, and referrals and bring to a successful close
- Generating revenue in each of Epic’s lines of business and hitting assigned targets in year, with specific focus on Managed Services
- Build and maintain relationships with potential and existing clients
- Collaborating with, up to and including “C” level executives, to define needs, provide consulting services, and recommend the most appropriate solution
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure successful delivery of services
- Develop and maintain a strong knowledge of Epic’s products and services
- In addition to driving Managed Services sales, you should be familiar with Epic’s full portfolio, including Cloud Services, Professional Services, Security, and Resale.
- Creating and conducting in-depth sales presentations, proposals, and RFX’s that highlight key benefits, ROI, and value of the company’s IT products / services
- Maintain accurate and timely records of sales activities, sales funnel, service tickets, and client information.
- Keep up-to-date with industry trends and developments
- Attend sales and technology training, industry events, and conferences, as required.
Critical Qualifications
- Post-Secondary Education in Commerce or Business Administration, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Proven track record to meet or exceed sales targets in ICT sales, preferably in Managed Services
- Preferably at least 5 years of experience providing IT consulting sales and services
- Strong knowledge of industry trends in Managed Services, Cloud/Hosted Services, Security, Professional Services
- Strong vendor partner relationships and knowledge about vendor products and services (Eg. CheckPoint, HPE, Cisco, NetApp, Veeam, VMWare, among others)
- Experience responding to RFX’s (eg RFP, RFR, RFQ)
- Ability to understand customer requirements and position the best solution, clearly articulating the value proposition of the service and solution
- Strong negotiation and collaboration skills
- Experience with creating quotes and calculating margin or markup
- Demonstrated ability to convert prospects and close deals while maintaining established sales quotas
- Ability to manage customer expectations and navigate product and service delivery issues
- Highly organized and able to effectively track sales activities (funnel, customer calls, contacts, service tickets, etc.). Preference for experience using ConnectWise to manage activities.
