A senior HR leadership role responsible for overseeing HR operations and strategy at a large-scale manufacturing facility. The Plant HR Leader acts as a key partner to plant leadership, focusing on talent management, employee relations, compliance with labor laws, and driving organizational effectiveness within a global, matrix-led environment.

The role is critical in shaping a positive workplace culture, supporting workforce planning, and implementing HR processes that align with business goals. Leading a team of HR professionals, this position demands strong bilingual communication skills (English and French), strategic insight, and adaptability in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as a strategic HR partner to plant leadership, influencing decisions impacting business success

  • Lead workforce planning, staffing, and talent pipeline development to ensure optimal role alignment

  • Manage employee relations and engagement initiatives to support retention and a positive work environment

  • Ensure HR processes and policies comply with federal, state, and local employment laws

  • Drive cultural transformation and change management to improve workplace morale and efficiency

  • Use HR data and analytics to inform strategic decisions and measure outcomes

  • Oversee training and development programs to build leadership and workforce readiness

Required Qualifications:

  • 8+ years of HR leadership experience, ideally in manufacturing environments

  • Strong knowledge of HR fundamentals, employment law, and HRIS systems (e.g., Workday, Kronos)

  • Bilingual fluency in French and English (written and verbal)

  • Strategic thinker with ability to align HR initiatives with business objectives in a matrix organization

  • Proven leadership and team development skills

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with data-driven decision-making abilities

  • Adaptable to fast-changing and complex work environments
