Senior High Yield Trader

Description:

Purpose Investments, a leading innovation-driven asset management company with over $22 billion in assets under management, is seeking a Senior High Yield Trader to join its dynamic team. This role is crucial in capital markets oversight, investment idea generation, and loss prevention. The successful candidate will play a key role in trading activities, investment research, and market analysis, with potential sector-specific coverage as an investment analyst.

Responsibilities:

• Generate and document investment reports, trading reports, and P&L analysis
• Lead and oversee the investment process to drive idea generation
• Measure progress through company meetings, conferences, analyst interactions, and market research
• Monitor existing holdings and assess relevant data correlations to fundamentals
• Track daily new issue activity and conduct relative value analysis
• Engage with sell-side dealer counterparty trading desks to optimize trade execution
• Pitch and execute trade ideas to generate uncorrelated P&L

Qualifications:

• Minimum 5 years of experience in a capital markets environment
• Background as a fixed-income credit trader or capital markets professional
• Strong educational foundation: BCom, HBA, MBA, CFA, or advanced accounting knowledge
• Proven attention to detail and strong process/managerial skills
