Senior Full Stack Java Developer

Deloitte Canada is anticipating future hiring needs and is building a talent pipeline for a Senior Java Full Stack Developer (Angular) role. This position will focus on the design, development, and maintenance of Java-based software solutions for a leading North American Bank under Deloitte’s Operate services.

This role requires advanced technical expertise in Java, J2EE, Spring Boot, Angular, RESTful APIs, and database management, with additional experience in Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines, and Agile/Scrum environments. As a Senior Developer, you will also contribute to project management, quality assurance, and continuous process improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, test, and maintain high-performance, secure, and scalable applications using Java, Spring Boot, and Angular.

• Design and implement RESTful APIs and integrate with relational databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL) using ORM frameworks like Hibernate.

• Create and maintain detailed technical documentation for applications.

• Implement and manage automated testing frameworks to ensure code quality.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including QA, DevOps, and UX/UI designers.

• Support project managers in defining scope, deliverables, and timelines, while tracking progress and allocating tasks effectively.

• Maintain and enhance CI/CD pipelines and containerized environments using Kubernetes.

• Stay updated on emerging technologies and recommend improvements to enhance software performance and security.

• Ensure compliance with applicable regulations and company standards, while managing risks and safeguarding client assets.
