Senior Frontend Engineer

Description:

MatchBox Consulting Group is seeking a Senior Frontend Engineer for a permanent position with a client located in Vancouver. This is a 100% remote position open to candidates across Canada who are willing to work EST hours. The role requires strong development skills in Typescript (6+ years), React (3+ years), and AWS cloud environments (2+ years), along with a solid understanding of object-oriented design principles and patterns. The Senior Frontend Engineer will collaborate directly with clients and stakeholders to define and refine project requirements and contribute to the development of scalable software services.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain web applications using Typescript and React

• Design and implement scalable software services (e.g., serverless, microservices)

• Work in an AWS cloud environment

• Collaborate with clients and stakeholders to define and refine project requirements

• Use and configure CI/CD pipelines

• Apply object-oriented design (OOD) skills and best practices to ensure high-quality code

• Maintain strong English communication skills for written and verbal interactions

Qualifications:

• 6+ years of experience with Typescript

• 3+ years of experience with React

• 2+ years of experience working in an AWS cloud environment

• Strong understanding of OOD principles, design patterns, and best practices

• Experience working directly with clients and other stakeholders

• Experience with CI/CD pipelines

• Proficiency in building scalable software services (e.g., serverless, microservices)

• Strong English written and verbal communication skills
