📍 Location: Toronto, ON, Canada

We are looking for an experienced Senior FinOps Architect to join our NGS Cloud Advisory and Consulting Unit.
The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Cloud Financial Management, Azure, Snowflake, and Cloudability, along with hands-on experience in Datalink and Apptio BI. Experience with Power BI, Hyperion, and Microsoft Power Apps is highly desirable.
🔹 Key Responsibilities:
Lead and develop the FinOps strategy, serving as the primary technical thought leader.
Drive cloud cost optimization initiatives across enterprise and multi-cloud environments.
Collaborate with engineering teams to implement cost allocation models, tagging strategies, and financial governance.
Conduct client workshops, cloud cost assessments, and develop long-term FinOps roadmaps.
Analyze cloud spending, budget variances, and identify cost-saving opportunities.
Establish cloud financial management best practices and optimization frameworks.
Provide strategic consulting and serve as a FinOps Subject Matter Expert (SME).
Prepare and publish FinOps reports, dashboards, and recommendations for stakeholders.
🔹 Required Skills & Qualifications:
✅ 9+ years of experience in Cloud Infrastructure, with at least 5 years focused on FinOps or Cloud Cost Optimization.
✅ Strong expertise in Azure and Snowflake environments.
✅ Hands-on experience with Cloudability, Datalink, and Apptio BI.
✅ Experience with at least two major cloud platforms: Azure, AWS, or GCP.
✅ Strong understanding of cloud pricing models, discount structures, cost allocation, and optimization strategies.
✅ Experience building and scaling FinOps practices in complex enterprise and multi-cloud environments.
✅ Knowledge of cloud workload characterization, system metrics, and performance tuning.
✅ Strong understanding of FinOps principles, frameworks, financial governance, and accounting concepts.
✅ Excellent analytical, reporting, stakeholder management, and consulting skills.
