FCC Construcción, a globally recognized leader in infrastructure and engineering, is seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Senior Financial Analyst to join its Canadian operations in the Greater Toronto Area. With over 125 years of experience and operations in 25 countries, FCC is among the world’s top 30 construction companies, renowned for delivering major transport and civil infrastructure projects.

As part of FCC Canada, this role will support the ONxpress Project—a major initiative under Metrolinx and Infrastructure Ontario to modernize and expand the GO Transit rail network across the Greater Golden Horseshoe. The Senior Financial Analyst will play a critical role in driving financial performance, building strategic models, and supporting operational teams with actionable financial insights that drive decision-making and efficiency.

This position requires an on-site presence in downtown Toronto and/or construction sites, collaborating closely with finance, operations, procurement, and project management teams.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial results, ensuring accuracy and adherence to accounting standards.

  • Collaborate with operations and project teams to deliver project-level financial insights including cost, variance, and profitability analysis.

  • Develop and maintain comprehensive financial models, budgets, and forecasts to guide strategic planning and organizational growth.

  • Monitor cash flow and working capital, optimizing liquidity and supporting business sustainability.

  • Design and interpret financial reports tailored for project and executive needs, including accruals and projections.

  • Build and manage Power BI dashboards for dynamic financial visualization and executive reporting.

  • Support management and board-level reporting, KPI tracking, and performance measurement.

  • Coordinate with finance, cost control, and procurement departments to streamline reporting processes and ensure data integrity.

  • Prepare for internal and external audits, maintaining complete and accurate documentation.

  • Lead ad hoc analysis and participate in strategic financial initiatives as needed.


Education and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.

  • 3–5 years of progressive experience in financial analysis, preferably within the construction, engineering, or infrastructure sectors.

  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Power BI.

  • Strong knowledge of financial modeling, budgeting, and forecasting.

  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.

  • Ability to link financial data with operational performance to guide decision-making.

  • Strong business acumen and problem-solving abilities.

  • Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities and deadlines.

  • Proactive and continuous-improvement mindset.


Preferred Experience:

  • Previous experience or understanding of transit or construction projects.

  • Demonstrated capability in cross-functional collaboration between finance, procurement, and project control teams.

  • Experience in audit preparation and compliance reporting.

  • Proven ability to anticipate financial trends and proactively support leadership decisions.
