Job Summary

This is a critical support role working as a member of the FP&A team. This role will complete complex financial planning and analysis requirements, offering accurate reporting and thorough analysis on key business information and drivers. The Senior Financial Analyst is a tactical reporter of the business, with a financial focus that extends to all operating areas of the business, reporting to the Manager, FP&A. The ideal candidate is a professional who thrives on using advanced tools for finance systems, power BI & data mining.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

This position is for senior-level finance professionals that are looking for a fast-paced work environment with ample opportunity for growth and learning
Responsible for developing financial models to analyze product profitability using facts, data and financial analysis tools
Lead in the creation of financial, operational & executive dashboards
Compile, analyze and distribute summary information relating to KPI's
Prepare costing models, scenario analysis models, etc.
Advanced knowledge with use of Microsoft suite of software and Windows operating systems
Technologically savvy and able to demonstrate competence in a variety of technological platforms and processes
Coordinate the implementation of processes that facilitate a more efficient and timely month-end fulfillment
Ensuring the accurate completion of monthly financial analysis for review by the Manager
Responsible for standard cost inputs
Compile, analyze and distribute summary information relating to KPI's
Assist in the implementation and development of new systems and processes
Investigate and reconcile accounting variances, report findings and develop and implement controls for improvement

Job Requirements

Minimum of 2-5 years of experience as an Senior Financial Analyst
Successful completion of post-secondary studies at a university level in the area of Business Administration and Financial Management is required
Professional Accounting Designation (CPA) designation or equivalent is required
Proven ability to be self-driven, capable of adapting to change and simultaneously managing multiple tasks/ projects/ assignments
Advanced knowledge in preparing ppt presentations for senior management
Ability to work with and manage confidential information and use independent judgment

Preferred

Financial reporting experience in manufacturing or transportation sector
Experience with application conversion and process re-engineering
Proven ability to work using Structured Query Language (SQL)
CMA specialization would be an asset
Experience working with WMS OR TMS software
