Senior Finance Leader

Join a fast-growing international agribusiness headquartered in Mississauga, ON, that sources, processes, and distributes high-quality pulses and specialty crops globally. This key role drives financial leadership across Canadian and global operations supporting the company’s international growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead consolidation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial results for multiple global entities.

  • Ensure compliance with IFRS and local reporting standards.

  • Oversee intercompany reconciliations and eliminate intercompany transactions for accurate group reporting.

  • Improve and maintain financial reporting systems for accuracy and operational efficiency.

  • Manage global audit processes; main contact for external auditors and ensure timely audits across jurisdictions.

  • Strengthen internal controls and support regulatory compliance.

  • Oversee Canadian tax filings (GST/HST, T2s) and transfer pricing documentation.

  • Coordinate international tax compliance with advisors across various global markets.

  • Manage foreign affiliate reporting (T1134s) and optimize cross-border tax structures.

  • Identify tax savings opportunities and mitigate risk.

  • Provide leadership and support to regional finance teams worldwide.

  • Drive consistency through global accounting policy implementation.

  • Collaborate closely with finance, operations, and treasury leadership.

  • Support business restructurings, re-domiciliation efforts, and M&A integration.

  • Lead or assist with ERP improvements and system implementation projects.

Schedule & Travel:

  • Full-time permanent position.

  • Willingness to travel minimum 25% of the time.


Qualifications:

  • CPA (Canada) or equivalent international accounting designation (CA, ACA, ACCA) required.

  • Extensive experience (10-15 years) in finance with senior consolidation/controller roles in global organizations.

  • Deep expertise in IFRS, Canadian corporate tax, and multi-currency consolidation.

  • Proven leadership in managing audits across multiple jurisdictions.

  • Proficiency with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or Microsoft Dynamics; advanced Excel skills.

  • Strong communication skills for collaboration with global teams.

  • Experience in commodities, agriculture, or international trading preferred.

  • Familiarity with financial regulations in regions like Africa, India, Australia, UAE is an asset.

  • Strong project management skills; ability to work proactively in a fast-paced environment.

  • Hands-on, solution-oriented leadership style.
