Senior Director, Strategic Consulting

Our client is seeking a Senior Director, Strategic Consulting to lead their consulting department in the pharmaceutical industry. This is a rare opportunity for an experienced leader with expertise in market access, reimbursement, government affairs, Health Economics Outcomes Research (HEOR), pricing, real-world evidence (RWE), and market research.

Reporting to the Vice President/Senior VP of Commercialization and Strategy, the Senior Director will oversee strategy, planning, and execution for the consulting department while driving new business development, data strategy, and cross-functional collaboration.

Key Responsibilities:

📌 Strategic Leadership & Operations

• Lead the consulting team, ensuring high performance and value-driven culture.
• Oversee Market Access, Market Research, Health Outcomes, and NBD Consulting.
• Drive insights through Enterprise Data Strategy to maximize business value.

📌 Business Development & Client Engagement

• Identify and pursue new business opportunities and develop client relationships.
• Build market awareness of the company’s capabilities and expertise.
• Present consulting services and respond to new business inquiries.

📌 Financial & Project Management

• Oversee departmental budget, revenue growth, and cost reduction strategies.
• Manage consulting directors and senior managers to ensure project success.
• Supervise proposal oversight, contract management, and client service excellence.

Job Requirements:

✔ Advanced knowledge of the pharmaceutical distribution industry, reimbursement, market access, and RWE in Canada.
✔ Strong business acumen, financial management, and analytical skills.
✔ Excellent problem-solving, leadership, and organizational abilities.
✔ Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
✔ Ability to develop and execute strategic business plans.
✔ Strong presentation and communication skills.
✔ Ability to build relationships, negotiate contracts, and drive business growth.

Education & Experience:

🎓 Bachelor’s Degree in Science, Marketing, Management, or a related field.
🎓 Master’s Degree in Government Affairs, Science, Business, or Health Policy (an asset).
💼 10-15 years of experience in the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry with consulting, vendor, government relations, or market access responsibilities.
🌎 Bilingualism (French-English) is an asset.
