Description:

Teva Pharmaceuticals, a global leader in generic and specialty medicines serving 200 million patients daily worldwide, is seeking a visionary Senior Director of Market Access & Government Affairs to join their Canadian leadership team. This pivotal role is based in Montreal or Toronto and involves developing and executing national strategies that drive access to Teva’s portfolio of generic, biosimilar, and innovative medicines.

The incumbent will be a strategic partner in guiding both the market access strategy and government relations efforts in Canada while enhancing operational excellence across the organization. With significant leadership responsibility, this position influences federal and provincial healthcare policy and works collaboratively across internal teams to drive organizational alignment.


Key Responsibilities:

🧭 Market Access & Government Affairs:

  • Develop and execute comprehensive market access strategies for generics, biosimilars, and innovative therapies in line with Teva’s business goals

  • Design pricing and reimbursement frameworks to optimize patient and payer access

  • Lead a high-performing team while fostering collaboration and compliance

  • Act as a liaison with commercial, regulatory, medical, and global access teams to integrate Canadian requirements into global strategies

  • Advocate for healthcare policy changes by engaging with federal/provincial governments and stakeholder organizations

  • Represent Teva with trade associations, public/private payers, and key industry influencers

🔧 Strategic Operations:

  • Partner with Teva Canada's General Manager to ensure strategic alignment and operational efficiency

  • Support senior leadership in prioritizing and managing strategic initiatives

  • Promote cross-functional teamwork and help drive critical projects across the organization

  • Analyze market dynamics, competitive trends, and healthcare policy to inform executive decision-making

  • Ensure full regulatory and corporate compliance in all external engagements and internal processes


Education, Certifications & Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree required (advanced degree preferred)

  • Demonstrated expertise in healthcare policy, drug pricing, reimbursement, and government advocacy

  • Proficiency in English; French language skills are considered an asset

  • Strong communication and leadership skills

  • Deep understanding of pharmaceutical industry planning and global/local dynamics

  • High business acumen with financial literacy

  • Comfortable in a dynamic, fast-paced environment with cross-functional collaboration
