Senior Director

 

Description:

Varicent, a global leader in Sales Performance Management (SPM) SaaS solutions, is seeking a Senior Director, People Solutions to lead people-driven strategies and initiatives that enhance employee experience, growth, and retention. Reporting to the CHRO, this role collaborates with executive leadership while coaching employees, driving organizational success through HR strategy, data analytics, and business transformation initiatives.

Responsibilities:

Drive Business Results:

  • Advise on and execute people strategies, including Talent Planning, Org Design, Retention, and Change Management.

  • Use HR data to guide leaders, identify trends, and recommend actionable strategies.

  • Design, lead, and implement critical business transformation initiatives.

  • Manage employee relations proactively, resolving issues and addressing root causes.

Leadership Coaching:

  • Coach managers on change management, performance management, and employee engagement.

  • Build strong relationships with leadership, Employee Experience team, Centres of Excellence (COE), and external partners.

Program Delivery and Effectiveness:

  • Drive talent management efforts including performance, talent assessment, and succession planning.

  • Ensure availability and execution of individual, team, corporate, and cross-functional training and development programs.

Compliance:

  • Lead Canadian and International employment legislative changes and ensure compliance.

  • Align HR policies and practices with relevant laws and collaborate with legal teams as needed.

  • Some travel may be required.

Qualifications & Competencies:

  • 10-15 years of HR experience, with at least 3 years at Director/Senior Director level.

  • Experience supporting a global workforce (Canada, US, UK, Romania, Australia, and Latin America).

  • Strong knowledge of Canadian employment legislation & processes.

  • Demonstrated expertise in Total Rewards, Talent Acquisition, Talent Management, Organization Design, Change Management, and HR Operations.

  • 5+ years supporting Software Engineering and Sales organizations, preferably in a SaaS business.

  • Proven success in cross-functional business transformation initiatives.

  • Effective written, verbal, and interpersonal communication at all levels.

  • Strong project and program management skills.
