Description:
OpenText is seeking a Senior Director of Revenue Operations to lead the Cloud Renewal Operations function. This critical leadership role drives understanding of cloud revenues, renewal KPIs, revenue-to-bookings relationships, RPO & cRPO, and provides strategic financial analysis and forecasting for the cloud services business. The Senior Director will manage a team responsible for revenue and renewal bookings forecasting, planning, analysis, and reporting across all Cloud business units. This role collaborates closely with Customer Management, Sales, Customer Success, Product, and Finance teams to maximize cloud revenue and retention.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Planning & Analysis:
Develop and maintain accurate renewal forecasting models to provide visibility into future revenue streams and potential risks.
Analyze variances between actual results, forecasts, prior year, and sequential quarters with clear explanations.
Identify trends, opportunities, and challenges in renewal data, providing actionable insights to leadership.
Partner with Finance on revenue recognition, billing, and reporting related to renewals.
Lead annual and long-term financial planning processes for cloud services.
Identify improvements in data quality and reporting processes.
Operational Excellence:
Support the Cloud leader in efficient execution of renewal processes.
Identify and implement process improvements and automation opportunities.
Ensure data integrity within renewal and relevant systems.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Partner with Customer Management and Sales leadership on revenue forecasts and renewal strategies.
Collaborate with Rev Rec team on closing activities, contract terms, pricing, and revenue recognition.
Work with Product teams to provide feedback on product-level revenues, retention, and expansion rates.
Communicate renewal performance, forecasts, and key initiatives to all stakeholders.
Team Leadership & Development:
Build, lead, and mentor a high-performing renewal operations team.
Set clear objectives, provide feedback, and support professional development.
Foster a collaborative and results-oriented team culture.
Required Qualifications & Skills:
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or related field (MBA or advanced degree preferred).
Strong understanding of SaaS business models, subscription pricing, and key SaaS metrics (churn, renewal, expansion rates).
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and financial acumen.
Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
Proven leadership skills and ability to motivate teams.
Strong project management skills in a complex, global organization.
