Senior Developer

Synechron, a global digital consulting firm, is seeking an experienced Sr. C++/C# Developer to join its high-performing team in Toronto, ON. This hybrid, full-time role involves designing, developing, and enhancing enterprise-grade applications, specifically targeting capital markets solutions. The role will be instrumental in creating scalable systems across desktop, mobile, and embedded platforms and enhancing performance and operational excellence within a global technology environment.

The ideal candidate will have a solid background in multithreaded programming, distributed computing, and Capital Markets, along with demonstrated skills in developing scalable, service-oriented architecture solutions. This position offers a unique opportunity to work on cutting-edge technology projects with Tier-1 financial institutions and contribute to high-impact digital transformation initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, and migrate production processes and application components.

• Enhance existing technologies for improved scalability, efficiency, and performance.

• Support and train users while serving as a liaison to global development teams.

• Develop and maintain tools to support pricing infrastructure and financial products.

• Identify and resolve system deficiencies; coordinate with stakeholders to develop technical solutions.

• Conduct performance profiling and system optimization.

• Lead or support debugging, troubleshooting, and resolution of software issues.

• Prepare and maintain comprehensive documentation, release notes, and production support resources.

• Improve CI/CD pipelines and oversee technology version upgrades.

• Deliver user training and coordinate technology adoption.

• Provide consistent status reports to managers and stakeholders.

Required Skills & Experience:

• 8+ years of hands-on experience in Capital Markets software development.

• 8+ years of experience in C# and 4+ years in C++ (or vice versa).

• Strong knowledge of multithreaded programming and service-oriented architecture.

• Proficient in distributed computing and task management.

• Experience with SQL Server, JSON, XML, web services.

• Hands-on knowledge of AWS or Azure, Kubernetes, and DevOps tools.

• Experience in supporting live production environments and rapid debugging.

• Strong communication, interpersonal, and analytical skills.

Preferred Skills (Nice to Have):

• Exposure to DataSynapse Grid, Python, and KEDA.

• Knowledge of Equity Derivative Products is a strong asset.
