Senior Deal Strategist

 

Description:

Cloudflare, a leading global Internet infrastructure and security company, is seeking a Senior Deal Strategist for its Developer Platform team. This role is part of the Developer GTM organization and partners closely with Sales and Product teams to accelerate revenue growth and optimize the developer customer journey. You will provide strategic guidance on high-value deals, co-sell with teams, and help structure proposals, pricing, and commercial terms to align with both customer needs and Cloudflare’s business objectives.

The position involves a combination of strategic thinking and hands-on execution, including running sales calls, maintaining deal trackers, building content, providing enablements, and analyzing deal performance. You will contribute to long-term commercial strategy, pricing, packaging, market segmentation, and Developer Platform growth initiatives.

Responsibilities include:

  • Support complex, high-value Developer Platform deals with strategic guidance.

  • Participate in customer and partner calls to evangelize products and value propositions.

  • Optimize deal workflows across Sales, Legal, Finance, and Product teams.

  • Develop and implement pricing strategies, packaging, and licensing models.

  • Enable sales teams through training, playbooks, and best practices.

  • Monitor and analyze deal trends, win/loss rates, and pricing effectiveness.

  • Provide market feedback to Product and GTM teams for roadmap and strategy.

  • Support strategic programs like Cloudflare for Startups and Workers Launchpad.

  • Contribute to long-term strategic vision for Developer Platform commercialization.

Requirements:

  • 6+ years in business development, sales strategy, or similar B2B SaaS roles.

  • Experience structuring and negotiating high-value, multi-year SaaS agreements.

  • Strong sense of ownership, independence, and time management.

  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills to influence stakeholders at all levels.

  • Highly customer-centric with a strategic mindset for complex commercial challenges.

  • Comfortable in fast-paced environments with shifting priorities.

  • Ability to understand complex technical solutions and translate value into proposals.

  • Data-driven, proficient in Excel/Google Sheets.

  • Background in Product-Led Growth (PLG) is a strong plus.

  • Curiosity, growth mindset, and desire to stay up-to-date on market trends.
