Senior Data Governance

Description:

We are seeking a Senior Data Governance Specialist with extensive experience to lead and drive our client’s data governance strategy and initiatives. You will work cross-functionally with Data Management, IT, Compliance, and Business Units to establish and enforce data standards, policies, and procedures that support strategic decision-making and regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

•Develop and implement enterprise-wide data governance frameworks, standards, and best practices.

•Define and manage data ownership, stewardship, and accountability across business domains.

•Oversee data quality initiatives, including data profiling, monitoring, and issue resolution.

•Collaborate with business and IT teams to ensure alignment with data governance policies.

•Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA, LGPD, PIPEDA).

•Support metadata management, data lineage, and data catalog initiatives.

•Create and maintain documentation, including policies, glossaries, and data standards.

Qualifications:

•Bachelor's or Master's degree in Information Management, Data Science, Computer Science, or a related field.

•5+ years of experience in Data Governance, Data Management, or related areas.

•Strong knowledge of data governance principles, data quality frameworks, and regulatory compliance.

•Experience with data governance tools (e.g., Collibra, Informatica, Alation, Talend).

•Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

•Experience working in cloud environments (e.g., AWS, GCP) is a plus.

•Fluent in english(will be applied in interviews)
