Description:

Air Inuit, a leading provider of essential air transport services including scheduled flights, charters, cargo, and emergency operations in Nunavik and beyond, is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Analyste de Données TI (Data Analyst – IT) to join their team. With over 45 years of service, Air Inuit operates a fleet of 30 aircraft and employs over 1,000 professionals, delivering safe, reliable, and courteous air service in one of the most challenging flight environments in the world.

The Analyste de Données TI will contribute to the optimization of organizational IT activities by designing, administering, maintaining, and evolving data structures and database servers. This role will involve ensuring data protection, supporting database users, and implementing security measures against cyber threats. The selected candidate will play a key role in advancing business intelligence initiatives by managing, analyzing, and interpreting data to support strategic decision-making across the organization.

Key responsibilities include implementing and improving BI processes, creating and maintaining internal knowledge bases, writing complex SQL or Python/R scripts to extract and structure data, designing data models (including star schemas and semantic models), and developing and optimizing Power BI dashboards using M and DAX languages. The role also involves collaborating with various stakeholders, coaching junior team members, and recommending process optimizations.


Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate on the execution of IT development projects.

  • Continuously improve BI processes in line with business needs and industry best practices.

  • Ensure rigorous monitoring and enhancement of procedures to optimize service quality.

  • Develop and maintain internal knowledge bases and documentation.

  • Write and optimize complex SQL, Python, or R scripts for data extraction, transformation, and analysis.

  • Design and implement data models for reporting and analysis.

  • Utilize M and DAX to create and maintain Power BI reports and dashboards.

  • Analyze and interpret data to provide actionable insights for stakeholders.

  • Ensure data protection and implement solutions to mitigate cybersecurity risks.

  • Mentor and guide less experienced team members.


Qualifications:

  • University degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Finance, Accounting, or related field.

  • 8–12 years of relevant experience.

  • Strong expertise in SQL and database management systems.

  • Proficiency in Python and/or R.

  • Experience with cloud platforms (Azure/Fabric).

  • Good knowledge of data security best practices.

  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.

  • Experience with Power BI, including M and DAX languages.

  • Strong communication skills in French and English (bilingual required).

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.

  • Exceptional perseverance in technical problem-solving and project execution.

  • Strong time management and ability to work under pressure.
