Description:

EPAM Systems, a global leader in digital platform engineering and technology consulting, is seeking a skilled Senior Allegro Functional & Technical Consultant to join its growing Allegro practice in Canada. This dual-role position blends functional consulting and technical expertise, offering a unique opportunity to work at the intersection of business strategy and technology implementation within commodity trading and risk management (CTRM) systems.

As a key member of EPAM’s Allegro practice, you will collaborate with stakeholders to design, implement, and optimize Allegro solutions that transform business processes. The role provides exposure to large-scale enterprise projects and the opportunity to mentor junior consultants, ensuring continuous growth within a globally respected technology organization.

Key Responsibilities:

• Partner with business stakeholders to identify, analyze, and document trading and risk management requirements.

• Lead requirements gathering sessions and translate business needs into detailed technical specifications.

• Design and implement comprehensive technical solutions and present them to executive-level clients.

• Manage end-to-end Allegro implementations, including system design, configuration, testing, deployment, and support.

• Develop and maintain custom Allegro extensions, reports, plugins, and system interfaces.

• Oversee technical design decisions related to CTRM integrations, ensuring scalability and performance.

• Uphold development best practices and quality standards throughout project lifecycles.

• Mentor and guide junior consultants, fostering knowledge sharing and technical excellence.

• Collaborate with project managers and senior consultants to align strategic initiatives and deliverables.

• Provide production support and performance optimization for Allegro systems in live client environments.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related discipline.

• Legal authorization to work in Canada.

• Minimum 2+ years of experience in power trading, marketing, and scheduling operations.

• Minimum 2+ years of hands-on experience with commodity trading and risk management (CTRM) systems, particularly Allegro.

• Proven proficiency in .NET Windows Forms development and Visual Studio IDE.

• Strong SQL Server or Oracle database skills, including schema design and query optimization.

• Experience with Agile, SCRUM, or Waterfall methodologies.

• Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure.

• Skilled in writing technical specifications for Allegro customizations and integrations.

• Advanced Microsoft Excel and full MS Office Suite proficiency.

• Excellent interpersonal, analytical, and communication skills with the ability to manage both technical and business-facing discussions.

• Self-driven, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple priorities effectively.
