Senior Consultant

Description:

Aon is seeking a Global Benefits Senior Consultant to join their Montreal office on a hybrid work basis. This role involves serving as the primary day-to-day contact for mid-sized and large multinational clients, providing strategic support on employee benefits programs, global project implementations, and consulting services. The position requires strong project management, analytical, and communication skills, with bilingual proficiency in French and English due to frequent interaction with clients across Quebec, Canada, and international offices.

As part of Aon’s collaborative team, the consultant will manage multi-country service coordination, including renewals, policy placements, benchmarking projects, M&A support, and benefits audits. You will participate in client meetings, prepare and present reports, resolve client issues, and make recommendations to enhance client satisfaction. Additionally, this role provides mentorship to junior staff and supports business development initiatives by identifying new opportunities and potential services for clients.

Key Responsibilities:

• Act as primary contact for client support and project execution.

• Lead projects within established timelines and financial parameters.

• Support development and implementation of client benefits strategies.

• Coordinate services across multiple countries and Aon teams.

• Present results, recommendations, and reports to clients.

• Resolve client issues and escalate when necessary.

• Identify additional service opportunities for clients and assist in business development.

• Train, mentor, and review work of less experienced staff.

• Stay current on industry trends, regulations, and technical skills.

Required Knowledge & Experience:

• Minimum 5 years of direct experience in HR consulting or professional services.

• Strong project management, analytical, and organizational skills.

• Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills.

• French/English bilingualism required.

• Working knowledge of employee benefits.

• Interest in global environments, other cultures, and languages.

Preferred Knowledge & Experience:

• International or US benefits consulting experience.

• Strong consultative skills for collaborative team environments.

• Advanced degree or project management certification is an advantage.

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, economics, or other quantitative field preferred.
