Deloitte Canada is seeking a Senior Consultant for its Financial Services Industry (FSI) Regulatory Practice in Toronto. This hybrid role offers a compelling opportunity to work with Canada's leading professional services firm and engage with some of the most influential organizations in the financial sector. The position centers on guiding clients through regulatory change, optimizing compliance frameworks, and fostering proactive risk management solutions that support both growth and governance.

As a Senior Consultant, you will be a part of a high-performing team delivering value across banking, capital markets, investment management, and insurance sectors. You will analyze key regulatory risk areas and contribute to transformational engagements that span operational and strategic compliance initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support client engagements by offering strategic and technical regulatory advice

• Conduct risk assessments and assist in the design and implementation of compliance frameworks

• Collaborate on the development of thought leadership such as white papers and points of view

• Engage in business development and practice growth activities

• Build and nurture relationships with internal and external stakeholders

• Contribute to the creation of scalable, tech-enabled compliance solutions

Core Areas of Focus:

• Regulatory risk types: consumer protection, market integrity

• Governance practices: monitoring, testing, control implementation

• Cross-sector exposure within the financial services industry

• Engagement with regulatory bodies and evolving legislative environments

Candidate Profile:

• Minimum 4 years of relevant experience in consulting, financial institutions, or regulatory bodies

• Bachelor's or Graduate degree in Business, Law, Accounting, Finance, Engineering, or related fields

• Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills

• Experience with U.S. regulations and bilingualism (English/French) are assets

• Proven ability to thrive in fast-paced, collaborative environments

• Willingness to travel for client engagements as needed

Compensation and Benefits:

• Salary Range: CAD 83,000 – 125,000/year (CAD 6916 – 10416/month)
