Description:

Airbus Canada is seeking a Senior Buyer (Acheteur Expérimenté) specializing in facility management services and industrial energy procurement to join its General Procurement team based in Mirabel, Quebec. This role is an exciting opportunity for professionals with experience in industrial building services, utilities, and maintenance procurement, looking to advance their careers in a dynamic, multicultural, and international environment spanning Canada, the USA, and Europe.

As part of Airbus’ A220 commercial aircraft programme, you will ensure timely, cost-effective, and high-quality procurement of essential facility management services such as maintenance, janitorial, energy, and utilities. You will also play a pivotal role in supplier negotiations, strategic sourcing, and contract management, ensuring compliance with Airbus’ global procurement standards.


Key Responsibilities

Procurement Strategy & Supplier Management (35%)

  • Define and implement procurement strategies with multidisciplinary teams.

  • Maintain regular communication with stakeholders from procurement, finance, building maintenance, and legal departments.

  • Manage supplier relationships and identify new potential suppliers where necessary.

Tender Management & Contract Negotiation (45%)

  • Lead multidisciplinary teams during the tendering process.

  • Negotiate commercial and legal terms to secure cost savings and favorable contracts.

  • Oversee active contracts, ensuring effective management throughout their validity.

Procurement Processes & Compliance (20%)

  • Ensure compliance with Airbus’ procurement procedures, ethics, and legal standards.

  • Resolve operational or contractual issues by providing effective solutions.

  • Monitor payments and ensure timely processing to minimize operational disruptions.

  • Utilize tools such as SAP and Google Workspace for procurement activities.


Requirements

  • Master’s degree (or equivalent) in Procurement, Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering, or related field, or equivalent professional experience.

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in procurement, negotiation, and contract management (ideally in building services and utilities).

  • Strong knowledge of procurement markets and suppliers in the facility management/energy domain.

  • Ability to multitask and prioritize urgent issues.

  • Excellent communication skills across multiple hierarchical levels.

  • Fluent in French and English (mandatory).

  • Comfortable working in a multicultural environment.

Travel Requirements: Occasional business travel – approx. 2 trips/year to the USA and 1 trip/year to Europe.
