The Senior Business Systems Analyst (Sr. BSA) plays an integral role in the delivery of high-quality solutions that meet our clients’ vision and objectives. What you will do:
- Work closely with business stakeholders to gain an understanding of their needs and to translate their needs to solution requirements
- Complete required BSA deliverables within set timelines.
- Activities and deliverables may include:
- Conducting business process mapping, including live mapping sessions with business stakeholders
- Documenting solution requirements in the form of functional and non-functional documents
- Assisting with the creation of vendor evaluation documents for procurement purposes
- Creating custom documents to meet ad hoc requests, e.g., governance process documents, disaster recovery plans, etc.
- Documenting data mapping and conversion rules for data migration projects
- Communicate requirements to interested parties e.g., technical and business stakeholders
- Mentor business systems analysts and other employees who are interested in learning more about the role
- Review profiles of assigned projects to determine BSA scope of work and estimated work effort
- Contribute to developing and maintaining processes, procedures, standards, and tools for the BSA service
Your qualifications:
- 5 - 7 years of experience in a business analyst or business systems analyst role
- Extensive experience with business process mapping, process re-engineering and modeling
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and time management skills
- Exceptional interpersonal, communication, facilitation, and documentation skills, including the ability to create concise requirements and easy-to-follow process flow diagrams
- Ability to develop strong working relationships and to communicate effectively with business and IT stakeholders, and to forge consensus within a group of stakeholders, to deliver a solution that works for all
- Knowledge of agile methodology and the software development life cycle (SDLC)
- Familiarity with a project management environment dealing with end-user and infrastructure systems in a team-based environment with situations involving rapid change, shifting priorities and/or simultaneous demands
