Senior Bookkeeper & Office Manager – Full Time
Calgary, Alberta
Our established and growing law firm is seeking a full‑time Senior Bookkeeper and Office Manager to support and contribute to our financial systems, trust accounting processes, and day‑to‑day operational management. The successful candidate will work closely with and assist our current senior bookkeeper and office manager, ensuring a smooth, accurate, and well‑organized administrative environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Support all bookkeeping functions, including AP/AR, payroll, reconciliations, financial reporting, and year‑end preparation
- Assist with trust accounting in strict compliance with the Law Society of Alberta rules and audit requirements
- Maintain and optimize accounting workflows within PC Law (required)
- Contribute to office operations, including vendor management, supplies, scheduling, and general administrative oversight
- Assist with onboarding, policy implementation, and maintaining efficient internal processes
- Collaborate with lawyers, staff, and the senior bookkeeper/office manager to ensure smooth financial and administrative operations
Required Qualifications
- Senior‑level bookkeeping experience (minimum 5+ years), preferably in a law firm or other regulated professional environment
- Proficiency in PC Law (mandatory)
- Experience with CosmoLex and/or Clio considered a strong asset
- Deep understanding of trust accounting and compliance requirements under the Law Society of Alberta
- Strong organizational and time‑management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities
- High level of professionalism, discretion, and accuracy
- Excellent communication skills and comfort working with a small, collaborative team
