Senior Architectural Technologist

Architecture49 (A49) is actively seeking an experienced Senior Architectural Technologist to join its Winnipeg office. This role is ideal for seasoned professionals with strong technical skills and leadership abilities who are looking to contribute to a wide range of innovative and meaningful projects across the prairies and Canada.

As part of a multidisciplinary team, you will support the design and technical execution of complex architectural projects, ensuring quality documentation and coordination throughout all project phases.

Key Responsibilities:

• Produce and oversee detailed technical designs and contract documents in compliance with the Owner’s Statement of Requirements

• Validate that designs align with applicable codes, regulations, and technical standards

• Provide architectural solutions for both interior and exterior assemblies

• Coordinate internal production teams and external consultants

• Mentor and guide junior technical staff

• Support contract administration tasks, including site visits and collaboration with construction contractors

Qualifications:

• Diploma or degree in Architectural/Building Technology from an accredited institution

• Minimum of 10 years’ experience in an architectural consulting environment, with exposure to commercial, institutional, healthcare, or industrial projects

• Strong technical knowledge and expertise in architectural systems and detailing

• Proven ability to produce complete tender drawing packages

• Experience with REVIT is essential; knowledge of BIM workflows, Microsoft 365, and Bluebeam preferred

• Construction site experience is an asset
