Senior Application Designer

Description:

VTRAC Consulting Corporation (WBE), a provider of intelligent technology solutions, is currently hiring a Senior Application Designer/Architect (Azure API/.NET) for a permanent position in the Greater Toronto Area. This role offers an exciting opportunity to take the lead on the architecture and design of scalable, secure, and high-performance enterprise applications using Microsoft technologies and Azure cloud services.

As a key player within the organization, the successful candidate will be responsible for designing, guiding, and implementing application solutions while ensuring alignment with enterprise architecture standards and business objectives. You will be expected to provide leadership in application design, integration, and delivery within a collaborative and fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Architect end-to-end solutions with a focus on enterprise integration and automation using Azure technologies.

• Design reusable, secure, and scalable applications leveraging Azure API Management, Azure Functions, Logic Apps, and related services.

• Provide hands-on guidance and technical expertise to internal development teams working with .NET/C#.

• Ensure architectural alignment with business strategies, integration patterns, and enterprise frameworks.

• Lead design decisions, conduct code reviews, and support CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.

• Develop comprehensive architectural documentation and technical blueprints.

• Support risk analysis, mitigation planning, and informed decision-making throughout the development lifecycle.

Required Qualifications:

• 10+ years of IT experience, specializing in enterprise application architecture and design.

• Extensive experience working with Azure services, particularly API Management, Functions, Logic Apps, and Event Grid.

• Proficiency in API design principles, RESTful architecture, and cloud security protocols.

• Hands-on development expertise in .NET (C#) and familiarity with modern architectural patterns like microservices and event-driven design.

• Deep understanding of Azure cloud architecture and services.

• Prior experience in leading application initiatives within Agile SDLC environments.

• Exceptional communication, stakeholder engagement, and presentation abilities.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field.
