Purpose of the Role:
The Senior Analyst/Associate supports the Fundamental Research Platform (FRP) by conducting sector analysis, targeted due diligence on publicly listed equities, and assisting senior FRP sector investors in developing investment theses and recommendations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct sector analysis and thematic research.

  • Perform targeted due diligence on identified investment opportunities.

  • Establish and maintain networks with external resources (sell-side analysts, consultants, experts).

  • Develop relationships with company management.

  • Build and maintain financial models and forecasts.

  • Attend conferences and meetings to develop investment theses.

  • Monitor investee companies and recommend stock actions as risk/reward profiles change.

  • Automate team processes and liaise with POI team.

  • Support analytical needs of Alpha Alts and Private Asset classes as required.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Degree in a relevant field.

  • Minimum 2 years relevant experience (investment banking, investment analyst, sell-side analyst).

  • Pursuit of CFA designation is an asset.

  • Strong judgment, decision-making, and ability to work under pressure.

  • Team player with coaching abilities.

  • Excellent organizational, communication, and presentation skills.

  • Technology proficiency (Excel, Bloomberg, AI tools).

  • Bilingual (English and French) or willingness to learn.

  • Frequent travel required.

  • Ability to follow processes while exercising independent thought.

  • Understand and anticipate team needs, working constructively to resolve issues.
