Description:

Mastercard, a global leader in digital payments and financial services, is seeking a Senior Analyst, Regulatory Compliance to join its Toronto-based team. This hybrid role is a critical part of Mastercard’s Global Regulatory team, with specific responsibilities focused on Canada's regulatory landscape. The successful candidate will play a key role in developing, implementing, and sustaining a robust compliance framework that ensures Mastercard's operations align with all relevant Canadian regulations.

As a Senior Analyst, you will work cross-functionally with various departments including Regulatory, Legal, Finance, Public Policy, Global Ethics and Compliance, and Internal Audit to support Mastercard’s regulatory compliance objectives. This is an opportunity to make a direct impact on compliance governance, risk management, and regulatory communication in a high-stakes, fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the deployment of Mastercard’s global regulatory compliance tools and frameworks in Canada

  • Conduct compliance assurance monitoring, internal gap analyses, and recommend solutions to ensure legal adherence

  • Maintain and update regulatory compliance policies and departmental procedures

  • Serve as a regulatory escalation contact and manage incident monitoring and evaluations

  • Respond to regulatory requests and participate in regulatory complaint investigations and industry working groups

  • Provide guidance across teams, serving as a compliance role model to the broader organization

  • Prepare and file regulatory documentation in a timely and accurate manner

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree required

  • Strong knowledge of Canadian payments regulations

  • Demonstrated experience in regulatory compliance program execution, including control design and implementation

  • In-depth understanding of effective regulatory compliance frameworks and relevant legislation

  • Critical thinking and problem-solving capabilities

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Agile and adaptable in a dynamic and evolving environment

  • Project management and risk control orientation

  • Ability to handle complex regulatory issues and competing priorities simultaneously

  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
