Senior Actuarial Consultant

Description:

The Senior Actuarial Consultant role on the National Initiatives team involves leading national pricing projects to improve the sophistication of pricing processes across all Property & Casualty products, lines of business, and regions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide technical leadership in the Personal Lines indication process and national pricing initiatives.

• Recommend indication methodology improvements responding to new trends or events.

• Communicate profitability outlooks and key insights to senior leadership based on indication results.

• Advance actuarial practice in estimating and explaining loss and premium trends.

• Lead projects end-to-end, including coordination with multiple analysts.

• Evaluate existing pricing processes and identify opportunities for improvement.

• Provide regular updates to stakeholders, anticipate obstacles, and propose solutions.

• Mentor and provide development guidance to colleagues to support team excellence.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or related discipline.

• Significant P&C actuarial experience (6+ years preferred).

• FCAS designation considered an asset.

• Strong communication skills with the ability to tailor complexity to the audience.

• Proficiency in Excel, SQL, Python, and Radar software is considered an asset.

• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple assignments concurrently.

• Excellent collaboration, coaching, and leadership abilities.

• Hybrid work model: minimum 2 days/week or 15 hours/week in-office.
