Arrow Workforce Solutions is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented CPA Manager to lead compilation and tax engagements for a diverse portfolio of clients, particularly in dynamic and fast-evolving industries such as technology and crypto. This position combines technical accounting expertise, client-facing service, and people leadership to deliver high-quality results and drive client satisfaction.
As a CPA Manager, you will play a key role in managing engagements, guiding junior staff, and supporting firm growth initiatives. This role provides a unique opportunity to leverage your expertise in accounting, tax compliance, and advisory services while building strong client relationships and fostering a collaborative team environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Engagement Management
Lead compilation engagements for multiple clients.
Manage and prepare tax engagements, including corporate (T2), personal (T1), trust (T3), and HST returns.
Liaise with the CRA on audit and compliance matters.
Supervise, review, and coach staff on technical aspects of engagements.
Ensure compliance with CAS, ASPE, and quality management systems.
Oversee deadlines, budgets, and staffing allocations across concurrent engagements.
Client Service & Technical Expertise
Act as the primary contact for clients, providing timely communication and solutions.
Offer practical, solutions-driven advice to owner-managed businesses and individuals.
Review engagement files, working papers, and financial statements for accuracy and compliance.
People Leadership
Mentor and develop junior accountants, fostering a culture of learning and collaboration.
Provide continuous feedback and coaching to support professional growth.
Firm Growth & Innovation
Collaborate with Partners on strategic initiatives, mentorship, and training.
Participate in firm-wide training programs and process improvement projects.
Contribute to business development by delivering exceptional client service and identifying new opportunities.
Qualifications & Skills:
Canadian CPA designation (mandatory).
5–7+ years’ experience in a Canadian public accounting firm (mandatory).
Strong technical knowledge of ASPE, CAS, US GAAP/IFRS.
Proven expertise in Canadian corporate taxation.
Proficiency with CaseWare, TaxPrep, iFirm, and advanced Excel.
Strong leadership, mentorship, and team management abilities.
Excellent project management skills with the ability to handle multiple priorities.
Strong problem-solving, analytical, and technical research skills.
Exceptional oral and written communication with strong interpersonal relationship-building skills.
