Prepare and finalize full working paper files and financial statements for compilation (Notice to Reader) and review engagements.
Prepare and file corporate tax returns (T2s) and associated schedules.
Manage personal tax returns (T1s), tax planning, and respond to client queries.
Participate in special files including estate planning, tax reorganizations, and advisory mandates.
Apply Canadian standards such as ASPE and CSRS 4200 accurately and consistently.
Provide technical mentorship to junior staff and conduct file reviews.
Maintain effective, proactive communication with clients and meet deadlines with high-quality output.
Handle multiple assignments while maintaining attention to detail and timeliness.
CPA Designation: Completed or nearing completion.
Experience: Minimum 2 years in a Canadian public accounting firm.
Expertise: Strong background in both assurance (compilation and review) and tax (personal and corporate).
Tools Proficiency: Skilled in CaseWare, TaxPrep or Profile, and Microsoft Excel.
Standards Knowledge: Proficient with ASPE and financial statement disclosure requirements.
Personal Traits: Detail-oriented, reliable, self-driven, and able to work independently.
Soft Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
